October 10, 2022 PD @ TC

On October 10, 2022, we met at Teachers College for a PD workshop facilitated by Dr. Erica Walker at the first part. The session began with a What do you notice, what do you wonder activity based on Module 1, using student examples to surface instructional moves and questions. Dr. Meredith Smart then facilitated grade based group work focused on extending the morning ideas into future tasks that develop student thinking, using a culturally responsive teaching rubric from Matthews’ book. We closed with teacher demonstrations of Finch tasks previously shared on Slack, presented by Laura and Tim, Katie, and Gina.
